Alfred, once again it is people like you that causes people to buy more guns and ammo. People like you was the greatest gun salesman in the world, responsible for more guns and ammo being sold in the last 4 months alone than the last 4 years combined. I hate to be rude, but if you want to help your cause then you anti gun people just need to shut up. then your sales will go down.

Try telling this to the 70 year old Y-Town woman who held that burglar at gun point until the police could arrive.

Actually for the record, Adam Lanza had on his possession a Bushmaster and multiple spent 5.56mm cases were found in the classroom. Read the actual police report for this information. What he was shooting however matters little in reality. The first graders are all dead. The real issue is HOW do we, to the best of our ability, keep weapons out of the hands of the Adam Lanzas of the world while still allowing constitutional access to the legal citizen. If someone killed your child with a gun resistance, Would it matter to you what caliber the gun was or whether it was a short or long arm? The caliber of the gun obviously didn't matter much to the intruder into Mrs. Underwood's home. She stopped him cold with a .22 caliber revolver.

We'll get gun regulation done this time around. The U.S. is long past due to start exerting some control over its firearms. It must happen.

And, uh, Resistance, Adam Lanza used a Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle to fire over 150 rounds, and he had multiple 30-round magazines in his possession, killing 8 boys and 12 girls, all ages 6-7, as well as several staff members, his mom, and himself.

(In my opinion, he should have killed himself first.)

He shot 6 year-old Noah Pozner 11 times with that assault rifle.

Where is your outrage, Resistance?

Is it misplaced toward those who want some responsible, adult action to limit public access to military-style assault weapons, military style ammo, and high-capacity magazines?

Nobody is talking about anybody coming ta git yer shootin' arn.

(How the heck do people like Resistance get through even a single day of their ignorant lives?)

OH GOOD ONE, LIEMONGER. You really got me there -- NOT!

By the way, where's your astute comment on my mention of Heller? Don't you have some typically disjointed response?

No. You don't, other than to claim I have no opinion of my own.

You're lame, liemonger.

Thus I baptize thee "Lamemonger," because thy posts are lame.

Henceforth, thou shalt be known as Lamemonger, because thou distributests inanity in the form of lame posts.

Notice, everyone, that when gun-fetishists such as resistance have no other answer, they spread lies, or claim there was a huge conspiracy to attack the 2A by, I guess, cops on the scene, who, I suppose in the little minds of the gun-nuttts, invented the whole SandyHook massacre to go after gun-rights.

When logic and facts and proportion fail, invent a conspiracy-fantasy.

Goes hand-in-hand (or hand-on-barrel) with their gun-as-penis fantasy.

(This is what sensible, responsible adults are up against in this country -- bunch of mentally teenage idiots acting out their castration panic.)

So, Connecticut has made a start:

"The bill requires background checks for nearly all private gun sales, and bans the sale of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. It also expands the state's assault weapons ban to include scores of new gun models. These provisions will go into effect immediately, Malloy said, while others will be phased in.

The bill also includes new registration requirements for those who already own high-capacity magazines, and creates the nation's first dangerous weapon offender registry. In a move that many legislators applauded Wednesday night, the bill allocates at least $15 million more for school safety and mental health monitoring programs."

Can we say "Model legislation?"

How hard is that to understand?

There are lots of basic literacy programs out there -- find one, and enroll yourself.
