To insider, this person is employed in the Titanium industry so what you are syaing is that it is ok for us to pay the 15% tax into England but they should bring their goods in for free? See its people like you that don't understand the reality of the actualality of the consumer market. THere is NO such thing as free trade if you want to study it go ahead but it has no real practial use in real world economics. I'm glad to see some senators actualy give a darn about our jobs here and in Toronto, because of the 2 titanium facitlities there is 3500 related jobs at stake not just the workers but also the supliers, trucking, rail, store workers, restraunts and the sort.

"...would give foreign companies an unfair advantage..."

Maybe it was edited out, but I don't see any unfair advantage mentioned in this article. Surely these senators don't claim that exempting foreign producers from the same duties that domestic producers are exempted is unfair? Maybe they should let the consumer decide what is fair. This consumer believes that free trade IS fair trade.
