AMAZING!!!! if one of the officers had committed this offense he would have fired them without a severnce payoff. They did an investigation and found enough to believe the harassment occurred, he should not have recieved a dime,

More idiot moves by the village idiots. I wonder, is there a national add for other villages to send their idiots to NF for gooberment positions?

Get ready for our utilities to go up to pay for this. This council has cost NF so much money, so much for my forgiveness tax going to the city. Maybe they will try another Police Levy? This time to pay for the Police Chief severance!

frosty, how would we know he did get them? Or not? It was not listed in any of the articles. I am just commenting on what I read here and the other articles in the media.
But the question of where the money will come from still stands. Perhaps the media will respond on that in the future. What do you know?

Make him reimburse the taxpayers for the money he "earned" while working at the car dealership.

Of the five people who Hired the Man only ONE is still in Office. If they had Googled this Man to start with He would have NOT been Hired. Of course they didn't have a CLUE.

Let's keep in mind, this is a "village", not a city and not a big city.
How does Newton Falls absorb all these costs involved from shooting themselves constantly in the foot?

Reader, how do you know there was no investigation, interviews, etc...Sounds like you have the inside scoop..If you are going by what the media says, do you think that they have all the info or maybe all of it hasn't come out..me myself I would think that there is more to it than the media knows, or maybe you know more than any of us????

Not to minimize any hand-written notes, but one might just see how this accusation/termination process used in this situation could be abused. No investigation, no interviews, no just cause process. So I wonder when the next special meeting will occur for "the safety of the community" and who will be terminated next? Shame on all of those who participated in the usual "Games" that we read about in Newton Falls.
One other question. From where is that $50,000 coming? Taxpayers should be furious over the Benetis incident and now this. If NF has a total of $64,000 (total including Benetis) to pay out for this nonsense, then maybe the voters should reconsider any further requests for money.
