RIP to those one hundred people who died.

I saw the footage taken that night for the first time yesterday and it is one of the most depressing things I have ever seen. The speed at which this fire and smoke spread was shocking.

As far as responsibility goes, I would say that it lies mostly with the owners as it is they who have the final say over what goes on (including allowing pyrotechnics) in their club.

Also it was the responsibility of the ownership that they were overcapacity.

I knew Ty in the last two years of high school. He was wonderful person. He knew what he wanted to do even then. He did a report once for a class and it was about where he wanted to be career-wise. And he had a lot of positive outside influences working with him helping make it all a reality. He made it. Pat, you, your family, and some others in the music circles did a wonderful job with Ty and my thoughts and prayers are also with you.
