i hope they price and market it well. most diesels sell at a premium to the base price.incentives would be in order to get the vehicles in the public's eye.

Just like other diesel cars, they won't sell very many. The only two I can think of off hand are Mercedes and some VW's, and there's not really that many of them out there.

Nosympathy
This dog is DOA. No one in their right mind is going to pay $2500 more than a Cruze Eco to get the same gas mileage and have to pay $.80/gallon more per gallon for diesel over regular.

Diesel fuel contains 30% more energy per drop than gasoline. Even at current prices, but manufacturers consistently price a diesel model above the top tier gas model. Then they wonder why not many sell. I have a feeling Chevy will do the exact same thing. Go figure.

I hear it is going to get 47mpg. the gas one gets 42. Unless it gets high 50mpg it makes no sense. Unless diesel gets cheaper than gas and I doubt that.
