Thousands of LA Diocese secret documents released.

Finally the ugly truth is being exposed, finally the victims may feel validation, and finally these church officials might be held responsible for covering these sex crimes, so that no other child is sexually abused again.

But this is curious.....How is it possible that Cardinal Mahony (who deserves to be prosecuted for covering up sex crimes against innocent kids) can be removed of his duties.?....And yet convicted criminal KC Bishop Finn can not..?

They make up their own rules.. which is so sad for all the victims of clergy sex abuse..Keep in mind, the LA Archdiocese is not unique in how they handle sex crimes against kids.

We must be vigilant to the ways the representatives of the Church parse words. To have "no record" of abuse by Baker at St. Mary's Prep does not mean someone did not know of his abuses before, during, or after his assignment in MI. Baker perpetrated most of his abuses in sporting and athletic environments as a trusted cleric.

It is obvious that Baker knew all along what he was doing and felt no guilt and offered no contrition at the end of his life. His only apology was to his bosses and enablers for failing to shield them as they had shielded him. As accessories to Baker's career of crime, all superiors and institutions need to be held criminally and civilly liable and accountable. That is the only way for a civilized and just society to get the message across that rape and molestation of innocent and vulnerable children IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. ... no matter when it happens.

All persons who were, know, or think they know victims of Baker need to come forward, report to the

Part of the reason sexual predators in the confines of the church are able to get away with their ugly crimes is revealed in the attacks upon SNAP. There are those within the pews who are so blinded by their allegiance to a criminal organization masquerading as a church that they would, if they could, burn critics at the stake like they used. Guess when you speak truth to power you better look good on wood, eh?

In the US, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty. With SNAPJudy, if a person is Catholic, they are guilty--period. No records of abuse from this man in Detroit, no one complained, no one stepped forward, even with all the publicity, even with all the money on the table. Doesn't matter to SNAPJudy. The man is Catholic, so he is guilty.

Please let me know, SNAPJudy, what store you buy your KKK robes at.

Just because the Detroit church officials say they have no records of abuse by Baker, does not mean it did not happen there. That is why we urge anyone who has knowledge or may have been harmed by Brother Stephen Baker, to come forward and contact the "police", no matter how long ago the abuse happened... Also keep in mind your silence only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others. This is such a sad case. So many, many innocent lives harmed and kept quiet for so long. Child predators need to be kept far away from kids forever. BUT, an even more powerful danger is when high ranking officials enable, empower, and cover up these sex crimes against kids.

Child sex abuse thrives in secrecy and secret systems that allow it to continue to this day,
