222tribfn--You are full of it. Price is married. Her husbands name is Randolph. The footage of her in the parking lot was on 21s morning show TWICE! I'm having them send me a copy of the show the. I will upload the footage to YouTube. She was defending herself. Anyways, nice town we live in right? Lets fire someone because they are defending themselves. Lets fire someone without a conviction. Then there's those people who say..what if she would have taken that gun into the school?? GOOD!! At least someone will be able to protect those kids.

Blues, having A CCW doesn't make a person a Hero or Bulletproof nor does it give a person right to behave reckless or like a cowboy. You don't need a CCW because I doubt you ever leave your hole. Big talk from a paranoid schizo.

Not enough details in story, reallyriredofit. I agree. To be fired just because you've been ."Charged" is ridiculous and a lawsuit waiting to happen if she's found not guilty.

I am sure that she will file a grievance with hewr Union Representitive protesting her discharge. In the end if the grievance is not resolved it will go before an Arbitrator. The Arbitrator will look at all mitigating circumstances. All of this could have been avoided had she been a responsible carrier of a firearm and had gotten her CC permit. This State has had that option for some time now.

If I had a loaded gun and someone was trying to get in my car I would aim at the chest and shoot to kill. If anyone tries to break-in my home I would do the same. In my opinion that is self defence. Lock in load!!!

I cannot find any video on any of the local channel websites about this incident. If 2 men were trying to attack a women in a parking lot and it was on video wouldn't their be more news coverage? Someone called the police, wouldn't that person or someone else have seen the 2 men trying attacking this women? Odd

this is sad just because she owns a gun then they lose their job thats a bunch of crap. If she has a ccw then what is the promblem? Also if she was defending herself she has that right

There are a lot of blanks that need filling in.
This seems like a harsh punishment for a non-work-related-event that occurred off the work place premises. And does not have any stated connection to the person's job.
Perhaps an explanation of the term "brandishing" as it applies to this case would help define a reasonable cause for both the "traffic stop" and the search of the vehicle.
We need to hear the complete story first and we suspect that there are some unspoken circumstances here which may be nothing more than just jumping on the latest politically correct bandwagon.

Too bad there isn't more information published in the article. It is very misleading if there is more to the story. Hopefully, there should be security tapes or something to view?

If what 47 says is true about two men pushing her and trying to get into her car then she has a right to defend herself. Her mistake was you don't pull your gun out unless your ready to use it.

ohhhh...i read the article wrong. they did fire her, but based on the investigation alone.
if i was this lady i would sue the school.
what if this lady is being wrongly accused? what if jansen is correct, i dont watch tv and have seen no footage, and she was acting in self defense?
the school is assuming her guilty. thats wrong. this lady is innocent until absolutely proven guilty.
before a verdict, the school is taking a chance firing someone who could be innocent. they should have waited. the school has set themselves up here.

USBLUES, since as a conservitive you support the second amendment, as you say, does that mean all citizens of the United States have the right, by virtue of the second amendment, to carry a firearm anywhere they want, anytime they want?

The local police and sheriffs department will set you up if they don't like you. We need to get a new sheriff from out of state and some new judges. Ever notice how Warren never arrests the top drug dealers in the area??? They always arrest the little man. They never even ask him where he got it from. You know what that's called??? JOB SECURITY!

If any of you saw the news yesterday the security footage showed her waving a gun at two black men. When first encountered by the men, she was being pushed and shoved by both of them. She then got in her vehicle. The men then tried to open the doors. I'd be waving my gun around too!!! People get fired without the facts coming out. It happens every day.

I doubt that George Zimmerman would had this problem. He wouldn't have lost his job either.

Instead of allegedly brandishing a gun "Honeya" should have called her relatives "Mustarda" and "Ketchupa" for help.

if they fire her before she is convicted, if i was her, i'd sue them for everything this county has. until she is convicted by a judge, shes innocent.
however, as a school employee, if you are brandishing a gun in a parking lot for no reason or to intimidate someone and you are found guilty of doing so....you should be terminated immediately.

So what do we do with a substance abuse counselor who got arrested for smoking a harmless joint? Do we let them continue to EDUCATE others on the abuse of substances? I didn't think so either .......
The proper ramifications took place in light of what facts are known to date.
My concern is the children whom which are exposed to this person with these problems.
