The background check should be "complete". If the felons don't like that I say they should have thought about it before they committed ANY crimes.

No matter what the law, somebody will abuse the law, some shyster lawyer will find some way to sue somebody and some will fall through loopholes in the laws. Leave criminals criminals. Make the rules so that if one don't want to play by the rules they loose their chance to be at the top of the list of potential employees. Maybe while in prison we can start teaching how to ask, "Do you want fries with that?"
