After shameless hucksterism from the Editorial Board the deal has fallen through. How about some thorough reporting of the 'why' rather than just a position taken to generate news?

As if a school treasurer has anywhere near the discretion afforded a corporate CFO, yet they expect a similar compensation package. Little more than glorified clerks, fearful BOE's overpay for these positions, while at the same time consistently favoring teachers with no experience (cheap) over experienced educators. Pathetic. Pity the children.
