Probable cause. I have more reason to believe that more crimes are committed by Niles elected officials, than are committed by Niles school students

cont:..Not finding something is a GOOD thing, not a bad thing!Maybe they should search the cars of parents that pull onto school grounds each day. That would let them "know they are being supervised" They would have a better chance of finding drugs in a parents pick-up,than the kids locker. The whole concept of Line-em all up and search "em" stinks. We are presumed to be innocent.

If myself and my progressive buddys went to your school and handed out ******s and birth-control pills "to keep kids safe" the parents would be having a fit.The response would be "don't approach my kids, without my permission" YOU WOULD BE CORRECT.This follows suit,do not search these kids or their belongings with out parental supervision. If kids do not have rights, and their parents are responsible for their actions, then reason would tell you not to let LAW enforcement or school officials perform SEARCH AND SEIZURE without a parent present.United is correct on this one. This is just a dog and pony show by Niles schools and Police to show THEY are keeping control! They control nothing.Crime, drugs, death are impossible to contain,so they go through kids lockers and ACT like they have accomplished something. They have only accomplished to show that kids are not as awful as the evening news wants you to believe. One of you said "too bad they didn't find anything"

I "think" here it is in our schools handbook to have the right to search so the kids know that up front. I dont think it is a bad thing. too many weapons & drugs are in our schools.it is a safer place without guns & maybe drugs too which is what I want for my child. a student did put drugs in a teachers drink here. now teachers can have food & drink on their desks unlike when I was in school. I have the right to search my child & her room & belongings if she wants to live here (16 yrs old)I think if you want to participate in school thats the way it should be. just my opinion! weapons worry me the most when I drop her off to school!

i dont know if they went thru lockers, patted kids down, or what they did.

however, featherstone, you should be more concerned that they are searching these kids and their belongings with no probable cause. the laws in this country protect everybody. they dont start once an American graduates h.s.

this is just plain out wrong doing that to these kids. if one of them gives the school cause to search him and his stuff, fine. however, to just search everyone and their stuff hoping to find that one is wrong. plain wrong.

Of course there were no drugs found, IT'S FRIDAY!, the hoodlums parents grabbed the stash of dope to celebrate the weekend! White trash don't work but still consider the weekend extra special.
