the scary part is, is chrysler is no longer an american corporation anymore because it is 65% owned by Fiat...an italian corporation, which puts the jobs here at risk anyway.
howevr, in your support of corporate profits, you still support this now italian company adding production at a cheaper cost in china. i mean how long before they start actually moving high paying us jobs completely to chinese low labor jobs for more profits?
i cant understand how democrats support corporations and mega banks the way you do.
i can understand you democrats thinking that by throwing your support behind wallst, the big mega banks, and massive corporations who say they want to help the middle class, but our workforce, not chrysler, but our workforce here will have less work if these jeeps they were making for china are now going to be made directly in china. that only makes sense.
at one point, you democrats are going to have to realize these mega bankers and mega corporations you throw all your support behind are ripping us off. the elitist rich people arent your friends. why do democrats support them the way you do?
Thank you Sam, you saved me a lot of trouble explaining the difference to those looking to find a lie where none exists. Correct me if I'm wrong but is'nt the election long over? I don't see the point in going back to re-dish the campaign...
We are not sending jobs to china...as Mitty Boy quoted.. Chrysler is going to build jeeps in china.. like GM builds cars in china, like Ford builds cars in India.... no job loss in this country mitty boy said jeep was sending work to china... thats not happening at all..
And some dimwit's will bend the truth, to try to make themselves appear smart..they really fail when they dont have the foggiest idea what's happening.....
Reminds me of GE sending their headquaters for making imaging equiptment to China.. that entailed sending 5 executives to china.. all manufacturing remained in this country to supply the same customers GE has all ways had.. now they will open the Asia markets; build Xray's equiptment in china and grab some of that money the far east is making...
Don't you remember GM built cars in MEXICO but did not ship them to the U.S.
because chrysler is now owned mostly by Fiat(65% roughly), an italian company. and all Americans know that an italian companys number 1 priority is making sure americans stay working and not finding the cheapest way to sell the most cars they can.
because chrysler building new plants and creating jobs in "China for China" definitely won't eliminate jobs here in this country when we no longer have to ship them the cars they order because that huge market can now build the chryslers they want right there in "China for China.'
great! globilization is a good thing! gotchya! check...
daniel....ohhhh, they are just expanding. ok, silly me. they are building new plants and creating jobs in china and russia because they are expanding. i must have skipped right over those words globilization and global "expansion".
i see them now though. thank you for pointing them out to me.
united, I was stated many times back then by Politifact and others that no American Chrysler jobs were being moved. They are building in China for China.
Where were you? I could have sworn I seen you here commenting but maybe you really never read anything. So, When Romney told those lies and got caught, YES, its a lie. and one of many he and the GOP got caught in which probably was their un doing and eventual extinction.
Imaging what a difference to the whole world there might have been if obama had made a commitment to one of America's armed services instead of sitting around smoking dope with known radicals in his chum gang?
"Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said the automaker plans to build some Jeeps in China for the local market — and later, in Russia.
"As part of our global expansion of the Jeep brand, there are some cars — that because of the price position in the market — can never be made in the U.S. and exported," Marchionne told reporters on the sidelines of the North American International Auto Show. "We're going to be announcing the first step in the globalization of Jeep (in China). There's another one that's going to come in Russia."---From The Detroit News

remember the presidential debate where the liberal media went insane when mitens romney suggested that chrysler was sending jobs to China?
even tough obammy has told the biggest whoppers in political history, the left-wing Politifact made romneys Chrysler China ad their “Lie of the year.”
well,...."Fiat and Chrysler Group have reached an agreement to expand passenger car manufacturing and sales in China, officials said Tuesday."
LOL!
