It is sad that it has to come to this, but Orville is to be commended for taking positive steps.

Perhaps too much public detailed information, but at least a positive step.

Smart move. There should be more of this but only for highly trained. I say if a teacher, if it is their choice could go through gun training and be armed. Is it a shame that it has come to this? Yes. But this is the world in which we live. Maybe if the next 3-4 mental wackos get their brains splattered it will serve as a deterrent.

What if the science teacher goes nuts? What if an intruder enters the school, goes directly to the science class.....and shoots the teacher?? If this is a solution, announcing in the paper the person that has the gun,is counter-productive at best!Hey guys, when Mr.Blank goes to the mens room, you slam his head into the tile,I'll grab his gun.Hey guys,MR.Blank will have a substitute in his class this week, lets bring our guns tomorrow. That kid creeps me out(says MR.Blank)all dressed in black, long black coat,he's reaching in his book bag,oh God he's about to shoot....BANG,I got him first!...Oh no,he was just reaching for his phone! You people give hundreds of reasons why reasonable gun regulation will not work.I can speculate, and give hundreds of reasons why a gun at school will NOT work.Sorry officer, the other teachers were curious so I was showing them...and IT JUST WENT OFF!! I didn't mean to shoot her!!

I just hope, for the sake of the children, that he's not a physics teacher.

Amazing. So this isn't a new gun... as implied by the anti-gun idiots who thought the NRA was suggesting more guns.

Great idea! More schools should do the same. I commend Orrville for taking the proper steps to making the children of their school safe. Well done!
