I;m happy that GM still employs people in the valley. With out it, everything would be seriously worst than it all ready is. The employees and their families are happy! The company used to be Highly Regarded back in the day. Today, pretty much a JOKE with how they've treated people that made them what they are. Not mention their bailout billions. They're in the same ranks as AGI and GS and we're not talking top shelf either ........

Jan.4 "Cruising into 2013" the article says car sales increased 27% from last year..... Then Jan. 11 in business section "New Car Sales Continue to Slide". This article says 116 fewer area new cars sold than last year.... Today, Jan 14. "GM Exec Bullish on Future" where he expects the company to get an increase in it's credit rating. Jan 4 and Jan 14 articles are opinion articles. No wonder there were so many mis informed voters in the last election. By the way, the 2 up beat opinion articles were on the front page and the actual, factual business article on page 8. Obama and his policies are a complete failure. This country is going to drag bottom for 4 more years and much of it can be blamed on the main stream news for not reporting the news truthfully.

CitizenZero, the money wasn't distributed for the same reason that the profit that the oil companies make off of the corporate welfare your tax dollars give them every year isn't distributed.

I want to see a 100% accounting of where our tax dollars were spent and exactly when and how much was paid back.

Why is all this wealth being kept within the GM structure and not spread out to all the tax payers who "saved" the industry?

Whether or not you were in favor of the bailout, from an ideological standpoint, you have to be very happy for the GM employees and stockholders. Congrats GM!
