Doggone it! Hate it when a far left, Obama-loving Democrat leaves Congress. Family, I thought the same thing about Manchin - seemed to be a level-headed, middle-of-the-road out-going Gov, but guess when you get to the Big House and the "enforcers" (AKA: "Whips") latch onto you your morals suddendly change direction.

Joe Manchin sounded like a reasonable, fair thinking person when he was running for the Senate but, once elected, he pole vaulted right to the front of the pack on gun control.

Hard to find anyone worse for West Virginia than Rockefeller has been, but seeing how quick Manchin changed once the Beltway Democrats got ahold of him, it is hard to be optimistic about any (likely Democratic) Rockefeller successor.

If they vote for someone with a D next to their name I hope they get screwed on guns and coal.

he couldt win re-election,so he will be replaced by another liberal dem who will act like a conservitive, but when needed will vote to screw coal, guns, and alot of my fellow west virginians will vote for anyone who has a D in front of there name.

Very promising for West Virginia. Rockefeller wasn't anything close to Byrd ....... Better days ahead!
