Minus the fully functioning fireplace (golf clap for that), these types of shanties are common around the outskirts of DC, usually along the Potomac. You can see them from the road during the winter.

They say that in DC and Northern Virginia, there isn't a park or large wooded area where there isn't at least several homeless people living them them.

I still find it crazy to think that in one of the most powerful places in the world, people still live in the woods living the most spartan of lives.

It's like that here too. I see them all the time riding my dirt bike between Warren and western PS on the track lines. Most of the people are really nice.

neversummer it is amazing that there are some many in such situations and yet some morons wouldn't believe you if you took them and showed them, or would blame the vary people starving for their own demise. I bet these people aren't feeling any of the trickle of trickle down economics.
