If the government was really concerned about food safety, they would immediately curtail the import of food to the "Bread Basket of the World" from those countries who have no food safety standards and stop paying American farmers NOT to farm their land. Grown your own vegetables. The crap they sell in the grocery stores, especially Wal-Mart, is imported garbage. Support your local farmers markets. The food is better and it's safe. This is just another attempt to grow government at a time when government needs to be GUTTED.

Missed the part that assigned costs to all these new rules.
Bet we don't enforce all the existing rules and now we add more?

Wonder how many NEW employees the Feds will add to FDA to implement this "wonderful" new "life saving" law, glad to see a rise in employment, even though we have to borrow the money to pay for it.

Soon-to-be-bankrupt Medicare "works just fine"? On what planet would that be?

Resistance, calm down. The government controls Medicare and it works just fine.
I want my government to protect me with rules and regulations. The capitalist sure doesn't care about your health or well being. He cares only about his bottom line.
