Trumbull County Veterans Memorial to be built in Memorial Park
A Wall of Honor and World War II statue will be added to Monument Park in downtown Warren, giving local residents a way to commemorate the military service of friends and relatives. The project, designed by local architectural firm Baker, Bednar & Associates, Inc., will be called the Trumbull County Veterans Memorial. In addition to the statue, the project will include a brick Wall of Honor. Bricks will be inscribed with the individual names of servicemen and women. Veterans from all wars and those who served in peace time, can be honored or memorialized on this wall. Community improvement organization Trumbull 100 and the Western Reserve Veterans Memorial Association are coordinating the project. The Tribune Chronicle has agreed to assist with the administration and promotion of the project as part of its work with local veterans organizations.
