We do it anyway
There are many things we should or should not do, and with good reason. Unfortunately, it is human nature to do it anyway. If it tastes good, feels good or makes us money, there is no stopping us. Then again, some people are just too dumb to know any better. We complain gas prices are high, but do we drive less? Not really. We still have to go to work, do the shopping, and take the kids here and there. And how can we buy more efficient cars when we are still trying to pay off our SUVs that we were told we had to have a few years back? Many times we could walk or ride a bike to our destination, but we drive anyway. We drive our cars with no seat belts and our motorcycles without helmets. Proof of the sensibility of either is well documented. They save lives. But we do it anyway. The price of food is going up. Will we eat less? Heck no. Unfortunately, food that is bad for you is also cheaper. There was a time when only the rich got fat. In the U.S.

Like the Mahoning River, Warren has raged over its banks, been polluted, cleaned up, dammed, frozen and threatened to dry up.
Walking is one of life’s necessary pleasures
Isn’t it odd that we need to drive somewhere to take a walk? It’s probably because most people want to walk where there is little or no traffic. Some nice scenery doesn’t hurt, either.
