WARREN — Alfred C. Whitacre, 69, of Warren died at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 16, 1939, in Barnesville, a son of the late Wilbur and Hazel MacFadyen Whitacre.

Mr. Whitacre was retired in 2000 after 30 years of service from Lordstown General Motors Corp. as an assembler.

He was a honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Alfred was a member of the Braceville Christian Church.

He loved and cared about people. He enjoyed golfing and throwing darts. He was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavs fan.
