LeBron still missing a lot
RANDOM thoughts while wondering how the the Cavaliers’ shooting and the Indians’ bats both managed to show up in downtown Cleveland on Saturday night, and if that will continue:
• Well, not all of the Cavaliers shot well against the Boston Celtics in Cleveland’s 108-84 victory in Game 3. LeBron James, who was 8-of-42 in the first two games in Boston, was just 5-of-16 on Saturday night and is now 13-of-58.
I hate to spoil the euphoria so soon after a much-needed victory, but James had better find his stroke if the Cavaliers are going to make it back to the Eastern Conference finals. He’s now up to 22 percent.
• The New England Patriots videotape cheating scandal is starting to resemble a certain scandal around here. No, not literally, thank goodness. It’s just that it doesn’t seem to be going away, no matter how much the NFL — and even the teams Patriots coach Bill Belichick cheated against — seem to wish it would.

As I came in from Mosquito Lake on Wednesday, I was listening to a local radio talk show and the big topic was gasoline at $3.70 a gallon. I did not change stations just to see what comments would be made by callers.
