| | Liberty native wins Tony AwardJune 8, 2009 - Andy GrayThere was a Trumbull County native among the winners Sunday for the 2009 Tony Awards. Winner for Best Revival of a Play was the trilogy “The Norman Conquests.” One of the production’s many producers is Liberty native Marc Routh, who got his start in the theater by working at the box office at Youngstown Playhouse. It wasn’t Routh’s first trip on the Tony stage. As part of the production company the Baruch-Viertel-Routh-Frankel Group, he won Best Revival of a Musical in 2007 for “Company,’’ and he has statues for Best Musical for “Hairspray” in 2003 and “The Producers” in 2001.
