Carrie Underwood coming to Chevrolet Centre

“American Idol” winner and multi-platinum-selling country star Carrie Underwood will play the Youngstown venue on June 11, according to her Web site and Pollstar magazine.

Underwood’s latest album, “Carnival Ride,” has sold two million copies so far, and her debut disc, “Some Hearts,” sold more than seven million copies, making it the top-selling female solo debut ever and the best-selling album released by an “American Idol” contestant.

Other acts that have played the Chevy Centre have sold more records in their careers, but Underwood is one of the top-selling acts in the country RIGHT NOW.

No ticket information has been released yet by the Chevy Centre. There’s no ticket or presale info posted yet on Underwood’s Web site.

Jason Michael Carroll will be the opening act for the show.
