| | Browns land GordonJuly 12, 2012 - Mike McLainThe Browns have acquired the services of former Baylor receiver Josh Gordon by using a second-round choice in the supplemantal draft. Gordon showed promise in the 2010 season as a sophomore, catching 42 passes for 714 yards. He was suspended indefinitely prior to the start of last season for smoking marijuana. He transferred to Utah but decided not to play and enter the supplemental draft. Gordon is a tall target (6-3, 224) to match with Greg Little. He has good speed for his size and is productive after making the catch. Some scouts think he would have been picked ahead of Baylor receiver Kendall Wright, who was picked in the first round by the Tennessee Titans. By selecting Gordon, the Browns have forfeited their second-round pick in the 2013 draft.
