| | Three Rivers Arts Festival announces concertsApril 13, 2010 - Andy GrayPittsburgh’s Three Rivers Arts Festival has announced the majority of the concert lineup for its 50th anniversary edition. Free concerts featuring national acts are offered nearly every night of the festival, which runs from June 4 to 13 at Point State Park downtown. This year’s performers will be: June 4 – Alejandro Escovedo June 5 – Guster June 6 – Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Nathaniel Rateliff June 8 – Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and Tift Merritt June 9 – Los Amigos Invisibles June 10 – Ingrid Michaelson and Matt Morris June 11 – Kris Kristofferson and Justin Townes Earle June 12 – To be announced June 13 – Patty Griffin and Guggenheim Grotto Alejandro Escovedo and Jason Isbell (formerly of the Drive By Truckers) are a couple of my personal favorites, and Ingrid Michaelson’s "Girls and Boys" disc has gotten extensive play on my iPod the last couple of years. And Kristofferon is unmatched as a songwriter, even if his singing voice is, to put it gently, an acquired taste. All of the concerts start at 7:30 p.m. on the Dollar Bank Stage in Point State Park except for the Sunday events, which start at 6 p.m. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
