| | Get breakfast, support RotaryFebruary 26, 2010 - Frank RobinsonAs a member of the Rotary Club of Warren, I have to put in a word for our annual Pancake Day and Bake Sale. This event occurs every February, and this year it's this Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lincoln K-8 School, 2253 Atlantic Street, in Warren. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the door Prepared and served by Rotarians, there will be pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit cocktail, coffee, milk, orange juice and a bake sale. Children 3 and under get to eat free. The food always is good. The service, not so much. Just kidding. Warren Rotary President Danny Rowland asked me to pass along a special thank you to the generosity of Dunkin’ Doughnuts for providing the coffee and coffee creamer, Bob Evans for the sausage, pancake mix, eggs, syrup, and butter, Berk Enterprises for the paper products, Dean’s Dairy for the milk and OJ, and McFarland & Sons for the tickets. The event usually brings in about $3,500 and $4,000. For more information, people can call Mark Curtis, Pancake Day Chairman, at 330-372-8178 or visit the club’s website www.warrenrotary.org.
