| | 2010 Wish ListsDecember 29, 2009 - Joe GormanLast week I relived some of my top memories -- or at least memories I wanted to relive. Today, I thought I'd look ahead to 2010 and do some forecasting: what are some good wishes for the new year? -- For the Internal Affairs Division at the Warren Police Department: A year out of the headlines. -- For the City of Warren: Some way, any way, to get more cops on the street. -- For Youngstown and Warren: A way to make a significant dent in the vacant housing problem in both cities. -- For Jim Traficant: A sense of shame (ditto for the businessman who made interest free ``loans' with no payment schedules to former Trumbull County Commissioner James Tsagaris and former Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge Maureen Cronin) -- For the Mahoning Valley: For V&M to decide to locate their expansion here. -- For YSU football fans: patience for first year coach Eric Wolford. -- For the Browns: A cover corner. A big play maker at safety. Help on the right side of the offensive line. A dominating defensive lineman. A big play wide receiver (I could go on but I don't where to stop). -- For Youngstown police: A continuing downward trend in the city's homicide rate. They are set to have less than 2008 and there have been only two murders this year since October. -- For the city of Warren: A light at the end of the financial tunnel. For everyone else: breakthroughs in 2010. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
