| | A unique cooking experienceDecember 4, 2009 - Frank RobinsonFor Thanksgiving, my father-in-law visited from out of state. He prepared our turkey in the most unusual way. It started with a tri-pod looking thing, but it actually had four legs. At the corners he had cone-like screens that he filled with charcoal. He put foil around the bottom to create an oven-looking gizmo. Then he put the 12 pound bird in two cooking bags and hung it by a small chain between the mini towers of hot coals. It took about four hours for the turkey to cook. He added charcoal a few times, but that was about it. It was delicious. He left the unit for me when he went home. I'm going to give it a try for our Christmas bird.
