The story won’t run until closer to the show, but we got to talking about the Beatles’ catalog being remastered and reissued this week. Crenshaw is a huge Beatles fan. Before he released that perfect self-titled debut album in 1982, he did a stint in “Beatlemania,” playing John Lennon. Despite that, he isn’t planning on shelling out for the new editions. “I’m gonna abstain,” he said. “I’ve already got all of that stuff. If they were going to make the mono records available individually, maybe I’d grab a couple of those.” The mono remasters only are available as a box set with a list price of $298.98. “The stuff I’ve heard does sound pretty good – OK, it’s a little sharper, a little clearer, but not enough to rebuy all of the god---- records … I still love the stuff. Don’t think I’m not tempted.” Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | Blog Photos![]() |
